We wonder whether any tears will be shed when the current building goes away.

Item ID: 1133

The quadrangle of Longden School was the cultural center of Temple City from its construction in the 1920s? until its demolition in the 1970s. Its eight-foot thick concrete walls were warm in Winter and cool in Summer. Sadly, the concrete was unreinforced and fear of earthquake forced the demolition of the building. The replacement structure was designed by a committee. (Date corrections earnestly sought.)
