Athletic Stadium to be Rededicated at Homecoming
Pioneer faculty members Art North and Bob Hitchcock will be honored during Homecoming ceremonies October 15 by the designation of "Robert Hitchcock Stadium" as a companion to "North Field" at the TCHS campus.

A ceremony honoring North and Hitchcock will be held at the conclusion of the Homecoming Game. Both are expected to attend.

The football field was named for founding principal Arthur North shortly after his departure in 1960. North, who was principal at the Oak Avenue campus before the construction of the Lemon Avenue school, and the founding faculty established TCHS as a central element of the TC school district. Several faculty members from the early years are expected to attend the anniversary celebration.

Bob Hitchcock led TCHS' football team to numerous winning seasons and several Rio Hondo League and CIF championships during his long tenure as coach. Many Hitchcock players went on to athletic careers in college and the NFL. Duffy Brook '63 is attempting to contact all former players; see his contact information on the Organization page.
