Temple City's Embellish Salon hosted an after hours social mixer February 16. Attendees numbering about 100 called it a smashing success at bringing together local business people and residents.

In attendance were the salon staff, John Zubrick- COB of the chamber, several TC councilmembers, various business owners, and patrons of the salon.

Four members of the Executive Committee were in attendence. Marilynn Woodruff, TCHS class of '72, Kathy Keithley '78, Linda Payne '67, and Roger Lockie, former TCHS faculty member and well known Southern California musical conductor. Kathy Keithley spoke to the guests about the 50 year school district celebration.

Linda Payne, class of '67 is the owner of Embellish Salon as well as the President of the Temple City Chamber of Commerce and Chairperson of the TCUSD 50 celebration committee. (Send her flowers. --Ed.)

At the mixer, Linda was presented with a Certificate of Recognition from Supervisor Mike Antonovich and a Certificate of Congratulations from Adam Shifts.

The chamber holds mixers once a month and businesses are encouraged to contact the chamber to host them. It is a wonderful time of community bonding, and a way to be introduced to businesses that you may not be aware of. There is food, spirits, and great way for the community to socialize after business hours.

Congratulations Linda!
