Schools Foundation Approves Celebration Funding
As H.P. Onderdonk might have said: "Do The Math!"

Though we're getting closer, the celebration plan still needs your help.

The 50th Anniversary Celebration still needs financial support. If every former TCUSD student would (LITERALLY) put in his two-cents worth, the whole thing would be paid for and return a nice gift to the TC Schools Foundation.

You can donate here or contact a member of the committee. Angels who wish to do a bit more may apply here. Any surplus goes to support TC schools. We're not accountants, but this is going to a non-profit organization, and you might like to brag about your donation next April 15.

On 10/4/04, Linda (Wolfe) Payne, owner of Embelish Salon, president of the Temple City Chamber of Commerce, and chairperson of the TCUSD 50 Year Celebration, went before the Temple City's Schools Foundation to request funding. Linda asked for $1,900 for four sheriffs for the day of the festival, $945 to produce programs for the honors luncheon, and $300 for a generator during the festival.

As any money left over from donations goes back to the schools foundation, Linda was granted the $3,145 for the celebration.

Help Still Needed

Despite the foundation's contribution, the TCUSD 50 year committee as of this writing still needs about $2,800 to produce the event. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

PS: Harold P. "HP" Onderdonk taught math at TCHS for about 100 years starting with its founding (TCHS, not math). He was a good guy and a good teacher, despite the lack of interest of some of his students. In fact, I liked Algebra 1 so much I took it twice. --RC
