I only just found out about the news last week and cannot believe it. I knew Rob when we were both about 13, but sadly we did not keep in touch. I remember him telling me he had decided to study Japanese at Uni, and see that Japan became a big part of his short, but fulfilled life. Rest in peace, Rob.

Robin, I sensed you this morning...were you talking to me when I was sleeping? What did you wanna tell me then...? Were you watching me when I was skiing in Chamonix the other day? I remembered how we enjoyed our racing! We were always the fastest!

Happy birthday Robin! Remember your birthday in 2003? We watched Matrix Revolution and talked about the movie for hours at dinner. We had tons of Pizza, you favourite food...you were saying you wanted to eat like a pig on that special day! How are you celebrating your birthday in Heaven with angels this year?

Robin, I know that you were there with us, smiling down on all of us as we gathered together at the Izu Hokkawa pier. Now, everytime I get a glance of the Pacific Ocean, I will think of you. Thanks Andy for all the arrangements!

I was on the mountain in Chamonix again last week and was able to sit with Robin and catch up for about an hour. The weather was perfect, the mountain was beautiful, and Robin's spirit was as strong as ever! An elderly woman from the local area was on the trail and saw the flowers in my pack for Robin. She told me told me she would tend to them when she can as she knows people that have died in accidents. I was a truely moving scene, her and I hugging and crying on the trail. She explained to her young grandson the importance of saftey first, and of never forgetting your loved ones. I will never forget how she made me feel, and I am confident that Robin is constantly surrounded by good people there.

Even though our loved one left us physically, their soul and their memory will live with us all through our life as long as we remember them and we try our best to cherish every moment in our life 'cause we've learned the valuable lesson from them...Life can be so beautiful and meaningful only if we are allowed to have healthy body and open heart...Wish Robin peace with all the blessing and love from us...
